| Zusammenfassung: | Il pensiero maturo di Emmanuel Mounier indica con l’idea di “ottimismo tragico” un rinnovato esercizio di discernimento, che mette alla prova il senso profondo della sua ispirazione cristiana, in cui s’incontrano laicità dell’analisi e autenticità della testimonianza. Un documento interessante di questa tensione trastoria ed eternità è al centro dello scritto La petite peur de XXe siècle, dove Mounier denuncia una confusione fuorviante tra catastrofe e Apocalisse, esamina atteggiamenti opposti di fronte al trionfo della macchina e dell’artificiale, rileggendoli alla luce dell’idea cristiana di progresso. La teologia dell’Incarnazione consente di denunciare i pericoli di alienazione nell’uso della tecnica ma sempre all’interno di un atteggiamento cordiale e positivo, senza indulgere a irenismi ingenui né a catastrofismi immotivati. The mature thought of Emmanuel Mounier indicates with the idea of “tragic optimism” a renewed exercise of discernment, which tests the deep meaning of his Christian inspiration, in which secularity of analysis and authenticity ofwitness is met. An interesting document of this tension between history and eternity is at the center of the writing La petite peur de XXe siècle, where Mounier denounces a misleading confusion between catastrophe and Apocalypse, examines opposite attitudes in the face of the triumph of the machine and the artificial, rereading them in the light of the Christian idea of progress. The theology of the Incarnation allows to denounce the dangers of alienation in the use of technique but always within a friendly and positive attitude, without indulging in naïve irenism or unmotivated catastrophism. |
