678 |b Kanchan Gandhi has a PhD in Human Geography from the National University of Singapore. Presently she is a postdoctoral fellow at IISER, Mohali. She teaches subjects on urban sociology, urban inclusion, climate change, sustainable settlements, and urban informality. She also guides studio projects on urban and regional planning and leads students in the field. Kanchan does research on Identity politics, gender, disaster and development and issues related to urban inclusion. Her current project is 'Security on the streets of Delhi.' She is a member of the Institute of Town Planners, Delhi.
