Anhand dieser exemplarischen Untersuchung wird die These vertreten, dass bestimmte Fragestellungen einer komparativ arbeitenden Religionswissenschaft nur innerhalb des interdisziplinären Grenzgebiets von Religionswissenschaft und Religionsphilosophie angemessen bearbeitet werden können. Insbesondere eine Religionswissenschaft, die sich jenseits von Phänomenologie und Kulturwissenschaft transzendentalanthropologisch abstützt, vermag auf diesem Weg einen Beitrag zur Lösung von zeit-, kultur- und religionsübergreifenden Aporien und Fragen zu leisten. | ||
| 520 | |a The article explores certain problems in Vedānta and Buddhism which display a strong analogy to the problem of theodicy. The traditions under examination are not only analyzed in terms of structural analogies and differences. It is also discussed whether the ways in which the problem of evil is treated in these religions exhibits some transcultural and transhistorical dimensions. Based on this exemplary study it is suggested that certain questions in the comparative study of religions can only be treated adequately within the interdisciplinary borderland of Religious Studies and the Philosophy of Religion. In particular a type of Religious Studies that would base itself, beyond phenomenology and cultural studies, on a transcendental anthropology may produce a significant contribution to issues of a transtemporal, transcultural and transreligious nature. | ||
