B. in der Evolutionstheorie oder in der Quantentheorie) bereichert, sowie philosophische Praktiken korrigiert werden (wie etwa die postmoderne Gleichsetzung jener Begriffe mit dem der Beliebigkeit). Zweitens lassen sich aus dem verschiedenartigen Umgang mit den Kontingenzerfahrungen klare Grenzziehungen zwischen Naturwissenschaft, Philosophie und Religion begründen. Und drittens schließlich ergeben sich aus den diskutierten Grenzerfahrungen sowohl in den Naturwissenschaften als auch im philosophischen Umgang mit der Vernunft Möglichkeiten, das „Andere der Vernunft“ zu rehabilitieren. Ein präziser und erweiterter Kontingenzbegriff dient als Leitbegriff einer allgemeinen Religionsphilosophie der Grenzen der Vernunft. Während in den Wissenschaften und in philosophischen Schulen Kontingenzen bewältigt werden (K-Bewältigungen), erfolgt im Falle des Scheiterns solcher Versuche eine Kontingenzanerkennung. Wer sich auf diese als Skeptiker beruft, wird letztlich sprachlos. Andernfalls wird die K-Anerkennung zugleich eine positive, Metaphern verwendende Kontingenzbegegnung, das heißt eine Öffnung für religiöses Verhalten und für institutionalisierte Religionen. | ||
| 520 | |a The present analysis and differentiations concerning the terms contingency (Kontingenz) and chance (Zufall) are persuing three objectives. First it is both to enrich scientific discussions (e. g. in the theory of evolution or in quantum physics) and to correct philosophical practices (such as to equate the mentioned notions with postmodern ambiguity). Secondly based on diverse ways to handle experiences of contingency (K-Erfahrung), there are good reasons for drawing lines between natural sciences, philosophy and religion. Last but not least there are arising opportunities to rehabilitate the “other side of reason” (das Andere der Vernunft) from the experiences of boundaries in natural sciences just as well for reasons of common sense. A precise and extended term of contingency is used to construct a general philosophy of religion referring to the boundaries of reason. While contingencies are mastered (K-Bewältigungen) in natural science and in philosophical schools, we speak of an approval of contingencies (K-Anerkennung) if such efforts were failing. A sceptic pleading for that approval turns speechless in the end. On the other hand using metaphors the approval turns into a positive contact (K-Begegnung) opening up to religious behavior and institutionalized religions. | ||
