Résumé:An essay is presented which discusses female fertility in feminist theology from the 1970s through the early 21 st century, including feminist theologians' perspective on the the relationship between ableism and Christian theology and on the perspective of viewing infertility as a disability. An overview of the depiction of God as the mother in early feminist theology and imagery is provided.
