It also relates to a period of particular interest, the final years of King Yazdgird I and his relationship to the Christians. It places Shabur's martyrdom in 417 ce, which is earlier than most scholars believe that Yazdgird I began his persecution of Christians. A fragment of the Syriac Life of Mar Aba Catholicos appears in the same codex. Variants between this fragment and Bedjan's edition are listed. | ||
