Before debating religious education in conjunction with transformation and gender it must be demonstrated that “Bildung” in general, and religious education in particular, are transformative processes. Before that, historical outlines of development in the understanding of “Bildung” in Europe will be singled out to enlighten transformations in the understanding of “Bildung” and the related access conditions for gender and different social groups for centuries. | ||
