A comparison of Kierkegaard’s theory of indirect ‘existence’-communication with Martin Buber’s philosophy of dialogue shows that Kierkegaard overlooks three crucial moments of truly liberating, conscientious communication, including the dialogical dynamics of becoming-oneself vis-à-vis the Other.
