This essay considers the recent interpretations and potential misconceptions associated with these late publications. I argue that, contrary to recent critiques, these autobiographical works are neither a deviation nor denunciation of his earlier philosophical approach. Rather, they offer a context to better understand Ricoeur's ambitious hermeneutical project of the 1970s. | ||
