Le Coran en effet commande aux croyants, non seulement de lui obéir, mais aussi de le révérer et de respecter certaines convenances à son égard. Quelques passages de la Sîra attestent chez les Compagnons une attitude envers le Prophète d'intense vénération qui se traduit parfois par un désir de contact physique avec son corps ou sa trace. Car le contact avec son corps garantit son intercession et la félicité dans l'au-delà. Certains hadiths évoquent au contraire la crainte révérencielle que provoquait la seule présence, voire le silence du Prophète en décrivant ainsi l'attitude des Compagnons : « comme s'il y avait des oiseaux sur leurs têtes ». Une telle attitude s'explique par le pressentiment de l'imminence de la Révélation ou de l'au-delà qui se dégage de la personne du Prophète. Cette double attitude peut être mise en relation avec les deux aspects du Prophète, entre familiarité et sacralité, entre amour et crainte révérencielle. Si le Prophète est un modèle pour les croyants, les Compagnons le sont à leur tour pour ces derniers dans leur comportement extérieur et intérieur envers leur prophète. | ||
| 520 | |a The founding texts of Islam at times emphasize the humanity of the Prophet and at other times underline the sacredness of his being, in contact with the angelic and divine world. They present the Companions venerating the Prophet in different ways, but also loving him. Indeed the Quran commands believers not only to obey the Prophet but also to revere him and to respect a code of behaviour towards him. Certain passages of the Sîra bear witness to an attitude among the Companions of intense veneration for the Prophet, which is sometimes expressed by the desire for physical contact with his body or its traces. This is because contact with his body guarantees his intercession and happiness in the hereafter. On the other hand, certain hadiths evoke the reverential fear provoked by his mere presence, or even by his silence. They describe the Companions' attitude as follows: “As if there were birds on their heads”. This attitude is due to a premonition of the imminence of revelation or of the hereafter, a premonition born of the person of the Prophet and his presence. These two different attitudes can be ascribed to two aspects of the Prophet, of familiarity and of sacredness, of love and reverential fear. If the Prophet is a model for believers, this also holds for the Companions, who provide a model for believers in their own behaviour towards the Prophet. | ||

Nos muestran los Compañeros testimoniándole distintas formas de veneración pero también de amor. El Corán en efecto ordena a los creyentes no sólo obedecerle, sino también reverenciarlo y respetar ciertas reglas frente a él. Algunos pasajes de la Surah confirman entre los Compañeros una actitud de intensa veneración hacia el Profeta, que se traduce a veces incluso por un deseo de contacto físico con su cuerpo o su rastro. Porque el contacto con su cuerpo garantiza su intercesión y la felicidad en el más allá. Ciertos hadiths evocan por el contrario el temor reverencial que provocaba su sola presencia, incluso el silencio del Profeta describiendo así la actitud de los Compañeros: “como si tuvieran pajaritos en la cabeza”. Esta actitud se explica por el presentimiento de la inminencia de la Revelación o del más allá que irradia la persona del Profeta. Esta doble actitud puede ser puesta en relación con los dos aspectos del Profeta, entre familiaridad y sacralidad, entre amor y temor reverencial. Si el profeta es un modelo para los creyentes, los Compañeros son a su vez modelo para éstos en su comportamiento exterior e interior hacia su profeta. | ||
