This is the way to understand the extent to which cross-cultural contacts privilege the transmission of ideas associated with objects, and how they were used apparently with similar purposes but with a very different meaning. | ||

Para el efecto, se realiza un estudio conectado entre España y Nueva España que tiene por base las historias de la gitana Generosa Vicente y de la mestiza Margarita Palacios recogidas por las autoridades de la inquisición. Así se intenta percibir en qué medida los contactos transculturales favorecieron la transmisión de ideas asociadas a los objetos y como éstos se emplearon aparentemente con finalidades semejantes pero con un significado muy diferente. | ||
