This paper identifies some particular needs and challenges presented by offenders as well as possible traps that the pastoral worker needs to avoid. It also describes some basic pastoral attitudes that are helpful in the accompaniment of sexual offenders. The complexity of caring for child sex offenders points to the need for solid formation both on the psychological and the pastoral level. Not being trained in psychology will put pastoral workers at risk of falling into the traps of cognitive distortions and a false forgiveness. Not being trained on a pastoral level might lead to a refusal to work with offenders and not being able to confront distorted God images. | ||
| 520 | |a Cette étude aborde le sujet épineux de l'accompagnement pastoral et spirituel des agresseurs sexuels d'enfants. Elle identifie leurs besoins et leurs défis ainsi que les écueils que les agents pastoraux doivent éviter. Elle décrit les attitudes pastorales de base requises pour faciliter l'accompagnement. La nécessité d'une formation adéquate en psychologie et en pastorale s'impose pour être en mesure de prendre soin de ces personnes. Sans une solide formation en psychologie, les agents pastoraux risquent de tomber dans le piège des distorsions cognitives et d'accorder à tort le pardon. Et sans une formation en pastorale, il peut en résulter un refus de cheminer avec ces délinquants sexuels et une incapacité à confronter leurs images déformées de Dieu. | ||
