This «proprium» is understood as excess, such as a promise imposed from within the human being, preceding consciousness. Traces of this «excess» may be found in the experience of giving, of relating to other human beings and to one’s own body. They have to be inhabited and interpreted. These traces challenge philosophy and theology to engage in mutual dialogue. | ||
