The jurisprudential priestly authority is not directly transferred toward a not priestly authority, toward the Sages, but toward the figure of expert based on the medical technè. The expert belongs or not to a priestly family. The expert is different to the priest according to another level: his socio-religious belonging. The priest remains in the hierarchy of traditional social categories, while the expert belongs to a new socio-religious category which the first Rabbinic literature draws the profile contrasting with the priestly function. | ||
