The two figures exhibit similar features, like charism, benevolence and asceticism; the cult of the Arabic god is documented from about the mid-first century to the mid-third century, in Transjordan and South Syria. This cult was especially revered by Safaitic soldiers enrolled in armies, both national and Roman. |
