L'article montre qu'il est possible d'établir les trois noms et fonctions des généraux babyloniens à l'aide des textes transmis, tous plus ou moins sinistrés (TM, LXX, vetus latina, Flavius Josèphe), et des sources néo-babyloniennes récemment éditées. Nous cherchons à démontrer que le texte consonantique du v. 3 garde la forme hébraïque de la rédaction courte. Le v. 13, qui termine la longue addition des v. 4-13 de la rédaction longue, reprend en finale les trois derniers termes de la liste du v. 3 (Wiederaufnahme pour assurer la transition avec la suite) après avoir rappelé Nabuzardan introduit dans l'addition. La mention de Nabuazban reste énigmatique. Nos connaissances sur les hauts fonctionnaires de la cour de Nabuchodonosor confirment la liste du v. 3 (texte court, attesté dans l'hébreu, le grec et la vetus latina), tandis que la liste du v. 13 propre au texte long est composée secondairement pour assurer le raccord entre l'addition et la suite. Au passage, nous proposons quelques observations sur la transmission des noms propres étrangers en hébreu et en grec. | ||
| 520 | |a The two lists of chief-officers of Nebuchadnezzar in Jer 39 (LXX46):3 and 13 are of interest for the assyriologists; their divergencies question the exegetes. Although the MT has two lists, the short redaction (Hebrew model of the LXX) has but one. This article shows that it is possible to establish the three names and functions of the Babylonian chief-officers with the support of the transmitted texts, all of them more or less damaged, and of the neo-babylonian sources recently edited. We try to prove that the consonantal text of v. 3 preserves the Hebrew form of the short redaction. At the end of the long addition (v. 4-13) of the long redaction, v. 13 resumes at its end the last three names or functions of the list of v. 3 (Wiederaufnahme, in order to make transition with what follows) after having called again Nabuzardan introduced in the core of the addition. The mention of Nabuazban remains an enigma. Our knowledge on the chief-officers at the court of Nebuchadnezzar supports the list of v. 3 (short text according to the Hebrew, the LXX and the Old Latin); the list of v. 13 is a secondary composition in order to assure transition between the addition and the following events. Incidentally we propose some remarks on the transmission of foreign names in Hebrew and Greek. | ||
