Couples may encounter different challenges (e.g., the religious socialization of children, acceptance from extended family, wanting a spiritual bond to share, creating mutual respect) that may threaten the viability of the relationship. The model articulates various factors that may impact a couple's ability to explore their religious differences, as well as strategies they may use to address their differences. Clinical implications based on the model are provided so helping professionals can support these couples in building successful relationships. | ||
