Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:The new Labor government and its prime minister Y. Rabin are very popular among Israeli Jews. The only groups opposing them are the religious settlers and the settlers of the Golan Heights. Whereas the opposition of the religious settlers has not moved the Israeli public, the Israeli public has shown sympathy for the opposition of the mainly secular settlers of the Golan Heights. This article examines this phenomenon in the light of the Israeli public's opinion on the settlers in general and on the occupied territories. (DÜI-Mjr)
