Zusammenfassung: | While carrying out anthropological field research in Wara Wara Bafodea Chiefdom in northern Sierra Leone, where both Islamic and Christian influence exist, the author was struck with how outwardly different these two external religions were on the fact of it. The author examines those features of both religions which seem similar at Bafodea, as well as the processes of religious change involved in both cases. The differences in influence of these two great religions on Bafodea life and culture. The beliefs and the behavior associated with the ideas of balance, autonomy and openness. (DÜI-Ott) |
