Zusammenfassung:A lot of questions appeared with the most recent evolutions of the Middle East. Since the invasion of Iraq, on March 2003, the political affirmation of the Shia of this country has become an irrefutable reality. But can this situation, combined to Iran's looking for an establishment of its own regional strategic interests, be the beginning for the emerging of a regional "Shia crescent" that would defeat the prevailing configuration in the contemporary nation states? An answer to this question can't come without defining first the historic realities that have accompanied Shiism, the actual organising modalities of Middle Eastern Shia, as well as the future that the nationals of this community, that have often suffered a lack of recognition of its citizen rights, seem to wish for.
