Résumé: | Security ambivalent: Firstly, security is a high value, so the production and maintenance of security is required. Without a basic level of security, no action planning is possible, no fundamental cultural development, no justice. On the other hand, the pursuit of the 'security' goal often involves restrictions in other areas. Thus, the initially unproblematic demand for more security turns out to be a classic conflict of objectives between different goods such as security, freedom, justice and privacy. The production of security is not simply 'good'. Today's secular security desires-strategies and actions have their own religious history. If we become aware of this history, religion can also be understood as a guide to a - much-needed - insecurity competence. |
