Summary: | As religion of God's absolute power, islam lays down the act of believing or not believing as a divine intention. How to explain then the paradox by which unbelievers, and those of them who deny God or associate Him with other divinities, in addition to Jews and Christians, at least, a part of them, are condemned in Coran to Hell? Beyond the question of the earthly status of muslims and non muslims - "The other", believers and unbelievers -, the problem opens up to a large debate: evil and divine justice, free will and predestination, as well as real theology of salvation which remains to be re-founded. The article will take a particular interest in this last perspective, though roughly, from two sources: Coran, and mystical authors. |
