| Zusammenfassung: | The article highlights Alexandrian philosophical life in Imperial times concentrating on the example of Ammonios Sakkas. The focus is not on his figure or the reconstruction of his philosophical doctrine, but on his students and their position in the religious and intellectual discourses of their time. A picture of an open network emerges, in which philosophy offers intellectuals from various religious backgrounds a way of thinking that distinctively informs them, regardless of their respecttive religious affiliation. Der Beitrag beleuchtet kaiserzeitliche alexandrinische Philosophie am Beispiel des Ammonios Sakkas. Nicht die Gestalt des Ammonios und die Rekonstruktion seiner Lehre stehen im Mittelpunkt, sondern seine Schüler und ihre Positionierung in den religiösen und intellektuellen Diskursen ihrer Zeit. Es ergibt sich das Bild eines offenen Netzwerkes, in dem die Philosophie Intellektuellen aus verschiedenen religiösen Traditionen eine Denkweise vermittelt, die sie unabhängig von ihrer religiösen Zugehörigkeit entscheidend prägt. |
