Summary:The article presents the salient features of medieval Jewish pilgrimages. It is based on six travel reports recently published in Italian, written between the 12th and 15th centuries, part of which were written by pilgrims from Italy. The authors of these writings were Rabbi Petachia of Regensburg (1170-1185), Ya'aqov son of Netanel Kohen (second half of the 12th century), an anonymous disciple of the Nachmanides (XIII century), Rabbi Elia from Ferrara (circa 1435), Rabbi Yosef from Montagnana (1481) and Rabbi Yishaq Latif from Ancona (1480-1485).
