Der Beitrag stellt Kerngedanken und wichtige Vertreter der Praxistheorie vor und zeichnet gegenwärtige Diskussionslinien nach. Für die Erforschung christlich-religiöser Praxis hält der practice turn einerseits materiale und methodologische Anregungen bereit. Andererseits verhilft er dazu, individualistische und mentalistische Engführungen zu überwinden und Religion als soziales und praktisches Phänomen neu in den Blick zu nehmen. | ||
| 520 | |a Theories of practice in the social sciences and cultural studies tend to focus on practices as routinized social interrelations which are connected with certain contexts, body movements and artefacts. Such approaches develop material research programs, while at the same time they make comprehensive claims to explain reality. This article presents core ideas and important representatives of a theory of practice and outlines current lines of discussion. For research in Christian religious practice, the practice turn offers, on the one hand,material and methodological suggestions. On the other hand, it helps overcome individualistic and mentalistic constrictions and offers a new look at religion as a social phenomenon and practice phenomenon. | ||
