L'article retrace les principales coordonnées du phénomène, en réfléchissant aux lieux et aux modes de production d'un tel artisanat dévot. Un cas d'étude met en évidence ce qui se conserve réellement des restes osseux à l'intérieur des majestueux reliquaires, qui simulent le moment culminant du martyre. 
520 |a Despite the diversity of studies that have analyzed in depth the reliquary ­phenomenon in recent years, a typology of relics has remained in the ­shadows: the holy bodies in ceroplasty produced in Rome from the pontificate of Clement XIV, to then be disseminated almost in all points of catholicity. The article traces the main coordinates of the phenomenon, reflecting on the places and the production methods of such a devout craft industry. A case study highlights the preserved bone which remains inside the majestic reliquaries, which simulate the culminating moment of martyrdom.
