By what sort of objective criteria could it be analysed ?In the following article the author, taking evidence from research carried out mainly in Anglo-Saxon countries and the work currently being conducted in France, shows how be haviour which was previously of purely religious significance developed into external signs of identification and, in the end, has become secularized. At the present time, collective religious practices exist alongside collective practices which are secular ized or simply secular. The Jewish condition in the West in particular is becoming such that it appears impossible simply to retain only religious criteria because of the polymorphous character of the real Jewish world. Finally, the author em phasizes the will to survive to await the coming of the Sa viour. But to what end ? | ||
