The rural world was not much influenced by the communist doctrine in Aquitaine, except in Lot-et-Garonne, where it was deeply rooted at the beginning of the 1920's. In the parishes that confronted communism, the Catholics reorganized themselves by proposing an active counter propaganda based on collective or individual commitment, with the aim of limiting the influence of communists. |
