Dies tut auch Eric Santner, der durch die Verbindung von psychoanalytischen und biopolitischen Theorien der Subjektivierung mit Franz Rosenzweigs Begriff der Offenbarung eine Metaethik der Singularität entwickelt, die der Ort und die Praxis des „Ewigen im Irdischen“ ist. Offenbarung steht dabei für eine Anredeszene, in der der Mensch in seiner Singularität, in seiner irreduziblen Überschüssigkeit gegenüber jeder Form sozio-symbolischer Identität, adressiert und aufgerufen wird und nur dadurch aus der schlecht unendlichen Bewegung der Selbstlegitimierung durch die Einschreibung in sozio-symbolische Ordnungen befreit werden kann. Diese immanente Theologie Santners legt sich, so die These, zumindest formal auf einen Offenbarungs- und Gottesbegriff fest, der die Ebene des Immanenten überschreitet. In postmodern philosophy, theological terms are often used in order to express the content of concepts, such as the concept of truth or justice, content that goes beyond what can be expressed in conceptual terms or arrived autonomously. In the same manner, this is what Eric Santner is doing in trying to develop a metaethics of singularity, that designates the place of the “eternal on earth” by combining psychoanalytical and biopolitical theories of subjectivation with the Rosenzweigian concept of revelation. Revelation stands for a scene/situation in which the subject is addressed and interpellated in its dimension of irreducible singularity, in its excessiveness to all forms of socio-symbolic identity, and thereby is freed from the vicious circle of self-legitimation by socio-symbolic identification. The article argues, that this immanent theology cannot be a purely immanent one, but is committed to a concept of revelation and of God, that is theological, at least on a formal level. |
