Résumé:The article presents an essay of how philosopher Michel Foucault reads pagan and Christian regimes of truth to examine modern (Western) forms of subjectivity. Topics discussed include the method of historicizing the relationship of the subject to truth which adds dimension to the elaboration of post-Kantian critical philosophy, the politics embedded to Foucault's ethics, and the relationship truth and sex in the late imperial Roman dream divination.
