Résumé: | We shall very soon be in a position, not only to alter the biological nature of human beings and their environment genetically and cybernetically, but in addition, through the application of artificial intelligence, radically to transform individual and social life. If we are to be able to direct these technological developments and make intelligent use of their potential, comprehensive philosophical and theological theories must be produced that encompass the whole field of the position and development of human beings in the universe and give us ideals by which we can determine the negative and positive use of these technologies as a means to achieving these ideals. |
