Celles et ceux qui ne suivent pas l'enseignement officiel se sentent ainsi mis sur le ban et finalement quittent l'Église. Mais n'assiste-t-on pas aujourd'hui à un ébranlement de cette perspective ? This article hypothesises that a centralising ecclesiology added to a strongly universalist perspective has contributed to "a conjunction of rigorism and tutiorism" in the field of sexual and family ethics as well as to a particular inflexibility in the interpretation of norms. Those who do not follow the official teaching have thus felt excluded and have ultimately tended to leave the Church. Do we not now see that this perspective is under challenge?
