Sans doute la contribution singulière et fortement suggestive du pape François, avec son encyclique Laudato si' (2015) - sur la sauvegarde de la maison commune - a-t-elle donné à cette attente une dimension nouvelle, soulignant l'enjeu déterminant d'un dialogue entre tous les acteurs de l'histoire. À tous les niveaux de l'Église se jouent une rencontre et un débat qui concernent l'avenir de la vie et de l'humanité. Ce besoin d'une autorité morale semble d'autant plus fort que la question centrale touche au « modèle » même de notre développement et, plus fondamentalement encore, au « paradigme » qui l'inspire. | ||

The Church's reflection, its commitments of solidarity, and its moral authority are expected, sought, and sometimes even cited as a reference. The singular and highly evocative contribution of Pope Francis in his encyclical Laudato si' (2015) (On care for our common home) has certainly given a new dimension to this expectation, underlining the decisive challenge of a dialogue between all of the actors of history. This encounter and debate regarding the future of life and humanity touches all levels of the Church. This need for a moral authority seems all the stronger as the central question touches on the very "model" of our development and, even more fundamentally, on the "paradigm" that inspires it. | ||
