Alternativ wird daher das Gespräch mit poststrukturalistischen Autoren (Derrida, Nancy) gesucht, um von ihm her einen Bezug zur offenen Metaphorik des sozialen Bandes (der Religion) und zur These seiner Performanz zu suchen. | ||

The metaphor of the social bond accentuates that social cohesion and bonding in a society of individuals evolves in performative acts of culture. However, religion cannot simply be identified with cultural acts, as is often the case in recent studies on religion’s contribution to the common good and to the social capital of society in Protestant liberal theology. To avoid this shortcoming, the article investigates the work of poststructuralist thinkers, Derrida and Nancy, to point out the aporetic nature of the social bond in religion and its opening of the immanence of the social world. | ||
