We will discuss the buildings near the gate of the city and the cultic activities that were performed there. New interpretation of the portable shrine found there will be presented. Data uncovered at Khirbet Qeiyafa may point to similar patterns of behaviour near city gates at both sites. In the 10th century BCE urban concepts developed in Judah and Israel around the city gate, the gate piazza and the cultic activities conducted in this location. 
520 |a Tell el-Far‘ah est généralement identifiée comme Tirça, la capitale biblique du royaume d’Israël. Les fouilles ont été effectuées à Tell el-Far‘ah entre 1946 et 1960 par l’École Biblique. Notre étude porte sur les activités cultuelles et les maisons près de la porte de la ville. Une nouvelle interprétation de la maquette de sanctuaire est présentée. Les fouilles de Khirbet Qeiyafa pourraient indiquer des comportements similaires près des portes de la ville dans les deux sites. Des concepts d’urbanisme ont été développés en Juda et en Israël autour de la porte et de la place de la cité où ont lieu des activités cultuelles.
