En référence à son double passage, de la France à l’Inde et de l’ermitage à la grotte du cœur (guhā), Le Saux ressaisit la signification de l’expatriation (xeniteia) qui est au cœur de l’enseignement des Pères du désert. Le départ propre à la migration est révélateur de sa véritable identité, laquelle se dévoile dans une mutation de soi, et en particulier de la mémoire. L’étude de ce processus d’éveil s’inscrit dans l’exigence d’un dialogue interreligieux auquel nous initie Le Saux, ainsi que celle d’une réponse à une théologie et une Église en crise. | ||
| 520 | |a This article deals with the notions of migration, mutation, memory and identity in Henri Le Saux’ work in the light of the desert spirituality that the French Benedictine rediscovers in India by adopting the sannyāsa way of renonciation. With reference to his twofold passage, from France to India, and from hermitage to the cave of the heart (guhā), Le Saux recaptures the meaning of expatriation (xeniteia) at the core the Desert Fathers’ teaching. The ‘departure’ is indicative of his true identity, which is revealed in a mutation of oneself, in particular of the memory. The study of this awakening process is part of the need for an interfaith dialogue initiated by Le Saux, as well as of a response to a theology and a Church in crisis. | ||
