Summary: | Culture, moral conscience and discernment: the articulation of these three categories draws the theoretical horizon that is proposed in the first part of this contribution. They have in common the reference to historicity and constitute the theoretical structure for understanding universality and singularity as constitutive forms of anthropological experience (1). It is on this theoretical background that we can think in what sense post-modern culture should be the place and time of discernment (2). This is an interesting challenge, especially if we remember the easy temptation to assume, towards the current culture, an attitude or apocalyptic or naively optimistic. Precisely in this context, the opportunity and necessity of discernment clearly appears. |
