Description
Résumé:The recent translation of the philosophical work of Ferdinand Ulrich has the potential to make a significant contribution to the ongoing debates about the role of metaphysics in theology. Together with D. C. Schindler's Companion, this difficult book is made more accessible. While Ulrich's Homo Abyssus generates sophisticated and nuanced responses to various forms of post- or anti-metaphysical theology (especially those in the wake of Heidegger), perhaps its greatest contribution is an altogether more humane way of pursuing metaphysics.
