Anknüpfungspunkt ist hierbei die postkoloniale Menschenrechtkritik nach Gayatri C. Spivak. Die besondere Leistung der Postcolonial Studies liegt darin, dass sie mit dem Konzept der Subalternität und dem damit in Verbindung stehenden Othering Analyseinstrumente liefert, die auf eine verschärfte Form von Exklusion aufmerksam machen. Es handelt sich hierbei um mehr als bloße Ausgrenzung, die immernoch eine gewisse Zugehörigkeitin verminderter Form impliziert. Es geht vielmehr um ein Unsichtbarmachen von Personen und Personengruppen durch Repräsentationsprozesse. Stellvertretung, selbst wenn sie in bester Absicht geschieht, verunmöglicht, dass von Unrecht Betroffene ihre je eigene direkte Beurteilung der je eigenen Lebenslage öffentlich äußern können bzw. dass diese öffentlich gehört wird. So können Entwürfe der Anwaltschaftlichkeit, sei es auf ethischer, auf politischer oder auf der Ebene der Wissenschaft, stets nur reflektiert zum Einsatz kommen. Die postkoloniale Reflexion der Repräsentation nimmt also zunächst einmal diejenigen kritisch in den Blick, die eine privilegierte Stellung inne haben, die Unrecht richten und die die Ressourcen haben, AnwältInnen für Menschenrechte zu sein. | ||
| 520 | |a The contribution shows that and how the postcolonial perspective for theological social ethics can be furthered in terms of fundamental ethical, political ethical and scientifc theory. My starting point is the postcolonial criticism of human rights according to Gayatri C. Spivak. The special achievement of postcolonial studies lies in the fact that, through the concepts of Subalternity and Othering, it provides analytical instruments that draw attention to a meta-level of Exclusion. This is a form of exclusion that amounts to an invisibility of people and groups through processes of Representation. Representation, even with the best of intentions, makes it impossible for those afected by injustice to be able to publicly express their own direct assessment of their own life situation or to be heard in public. In this way, drafts of advocacy, be it on an ethical, political or scientifc level, can only ever be used in a refected manner. The post-colonial refection on representation therefore frst takes a critical look at those who hold a privileged position, who „righting wrongs“ and who have the resources to be advocates for human rights. | ||
