Summary: | After decades of Muslim-Christian conflicts, there are today growing numbers of Muslim-Christian collaborations that advocate for peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians in Nigeria. This article will examine a number of these new organizations as well as similar organizations either set up by the government or serving as NGOs in different parts of Nigeria to ameliorate or end incidents of Muslim-Christian violent conflicts. How have these organizations and the growing phenomenon of advocating and promoting healthy Christian-Muslim relations addressed existing bias and antagonism between Christians and Muslims? And what ways can more dividends of healthy Muslim-Christian relations be harnessed and promoted? These are some of the questions that this article seeks to address. |
