There are good reasons to believe that this is not a chance and to assert that for him the history of the Greeks and Romans was one of the most important examples to think about. This paper deals with the vision of Greek and Roman history in Ibn Haldūn's work and focuses on the formation of such a vision from its Latin, Coptic, Jewish and Arabic sources.
