| Summary: | O objetivo do presente artigo é considerar a figura das benzedeiras, enquanto agentes da magia contida no mundo e materializada por meio da cultura e da força presente na natureza, que lhes possibilita manipular plantas e rezas em função da promoção da cura que acreditam ser capazes de fazer. Tais considerações são abordadas a partir de uma distinção entre religião e magia, fazendo-se toda uma contextualização em relação à possibilidade de as benzedeiras terem suas raízes históricas na figura das bruxas enquanto agentes que tinham mais ou menos a mesma função social. O artigo é uma revisão de literatura que amplia o debate sobre o tema proposto. The purpose of this article is to consider the figure of healers like magic agents contained in the world and materialized through cul-ture and strength present in nature, allowing them to manipulate plants and prayers due to the promotion of healing they believe to be able to do. Such considerations addressed are from a distinction between religion and magic making up a whole context regarding the possibility of the healers have their historical roots in the figure of witches as agents who had more or less the same social function. The article is a literature review that widens the debate on the theme. |
