| 520 | |a This paper seeks to retrace the history of attempts to include the protection of homosexuals SINCE the deep discussions on the constituent assembly of 1987-1988, the proposed amendments to the Constitution and ordinary laws, until Bill # 122, which criminalizes homophobia. It shows that the backlash to this kind of protection by conservative and religious groups also falls since the Constituent Assembly. It concludes that, unlike appointed by them, the basis for their opposition is not in the freedom of speech or in religious fre-edom, but in denying the public recognition of homosexuals, which is an abuse of fundamental rights. | ||
