Mit ihrem „Bilderbuch“, dem ersten seiner Art, das auch jüdische Motive enthält, zeigte sie eindrucksstark, wie selbstverständlich verwoben deutsche, jüdische und sogar zionistische Kultur auftreten konnte. Als Verlegerin förderte sie eine spielerische, aber doch bewusste Auseinandersetzung mit der problematisch gewordenen, antisemitisch geprägten Gegenwart der Weimarer Republik und publizierte selbst hebräische Kinderspiele, mithilfe derer Kindern die Schönheit Palästinas gezeigt und eine Vertrautheit vermittelt werden sollte – zu einem Land, das möglicherweise Emigrationsziel werden könnte. Für Adele Sandler und ihrer Familie ist es dies 1934/35 geworden. | ||

With her first publication, the „Bilderbuch“ (picture book), the first of its kind to include Jewish motifs, she impressively demonstrated how naturally interwoven German, Jewish and even Zionist culture could appear. As a publisher she promoted a playful yet conscious handling of contemporary problems of the Weimar Republic, such as antisemitism. She developed and published children's games in Hebrew that should allow children to get familiar with Eretz Israel – a country that might become a haven for emigrants – as it became for Adele Sandler and her family who emigrated to Palestine during the years 1934/35. | ||
