| 520 | |a After discussing the legitimacy and the possible meanings of the term "sacralization" applied to the Christian texts of Antiquity, this paper analyses the ways in which "pagan" figures may sometimes be sacralized within this corpus: a) the establishment of a doctrinal "symphônia"; b) the biographical elaboration. There is, in the patristic texts, a strong tendency to sacralize a few pagan figures, which is counterbalanced by the idea that, for several reasons, these figures cannot be put on the same level as the prophetic figures of the biblical tradition. | ||
