It then explores what is at stake in theological constructions that advocate for the erasure of memory in the eschaton—such as the one advocated for by Miroslav Volf—suggesting that such proposals are theologically tenuous and also inflict injustice upon survivors of sexual trauma. In the final section, it explores Marilyn McCord Adams’s understanding of how God responds to horrendous evils in order to offer an alternative eschatological vision of the self. | ||
