Résumé:This paper describes a model, developed by the author, which facilitates the establishment of advocacy and acceptance of persons with mental disabilities in the higher education setting. It exposes misinformation and stigmas associated with die subject. A private denominational university formed the background, and the professor's family formed the consumer viewpoint and further shaped the syllabus. It lists recommendations for those who may wish to venture similar efforts.
