| 520 | |a Die Württembergische Landesbibliothek Stuttgart hält zahlreiche Sondersammlungen, darunter die Bibelsammlung, die als eine der größten und bedeutendsten der Welt gilt. Ihre Sammlung von Inkunabeln ist nach derjenigen der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek die zweitgrößte in Deutschland. So findet man mehrere in Italien gedruckte hebräische Bibelinkunabeln, ferner nach 1500 ca. 1.150 hebräische, aramäische, samaritanische, jiddische und judenspanische Bibeldrucke, weiter im jüdischen Umfeld ca. 100 übersetzte Bibelausgaben. Die Handschriftenabteilung weist ca. 50 Bände mit hebräischen, aramäischen und samaritanischen Texten (meist Bibeln) aus. Die in die Württembergische Landesbibliothek eingegliederte »Bibliothek für Zeitgeschichte« (ehemalige »Weltkriegsbücherei«) bewahrt in der Literatur zur politischen Geschichte (seit 1914) und damit auch zur Geschichte der Juden und Israels einen Bestand auf allerhöchstem Niveau. | ||
| 520 | |a The Württemberg State Library holds numerous outstanding special collections, among them the Bible Collection (one of the greatest holdings of printed Bibles of the world) and the Incunabula Collection (which is the second largest in Germany, after the Bavarian State Library). The first Hebrew Bibles printed in Italy are to be found here as well as about 1,150 Hebrew, Aramaic,Samaritan, Yiddish and Judeo-Spanish Bibles published up to the present day, and also 100 translated works with a Jewish background. The Manuscript Department holds about 50 volumes of manuscripts (texts of the Hebrew Bible and other subjects) and further fragments. The associated special library »Bibliothek für Zeitgeschichte« (Library of Contemporary History) in Stuttgartoffers a notably complete range of literature and printed sources related to Jewish history since 1914. | ||
