520 | |a Decolonial theology is an ongoing process, requiring the readiness of all actors involved (both former colonized and colonizers). The greatest risks come from the prevalent feeling of revenge and from a too strong influence of politics and theological thinking. For this reason, a high-quality level of dialogue is a good way to avoid radicalism and extremism, but also to build a new and common perspective. This paper argues the importance of building a common narrative as an essential part of the decolonial process in its political and epistemic aspects. My purpose is to analyze the role of decolonial theology as a possible strategy for change and as an «open question». In particular, I will focus on the role of the plurality of narratives as a priv-ileged tool of decolonial theology, in two respects: 1) its contribution to the building of a new narrative and 2) the decentralization of both «center» and «periphery», in order to encourage their mobility, namely the possibility that a «periphery» becomes a «center» and vice versa. | ||
