Likewise, we are deeply interested in understanding the vision of the churchman, who, regardless of the true nature of these manifestations, always interpreted them in a polytheistic way. In fact, whether or not they were a cult phenomenon, such expressions of popular religiosity were totally alien to the faith of Christ, so for the religious authorities they were the result of the deceptions of Satan and his angels and, therefore, they were always reprehensible. | ||
